Regional WA Scholarships to attend the 17th National Immunisation Conference 2021

The Public Health Association Australia (PHAA) and the WA Department of Health are offering scholarships to support regional WA people to attend the 17th National Immunisation Conference 2021 to be held from Tuesday 29 June to Thursday 1 July 2021 in Perth.

The scholarships will be offered to applicants based in non-metropolitan regions of WA who may otherwise be unable to attend such a conference. The scholarship can be used to cover travel and/or accommodation costs.

Whilst we are all facing major disruption, PHAA is committed to ensuring there are continued opportunities for professional development and connection within the community. We are embracing a new way of delivering conferences in an interactive online format as well as continuing the face-to-face format where permitted.

The biennial National Immunisation Conferences are the peak public health conferences in Australia with the prevention and control of vaccine preventable diseases through immunisation as their focus. Run by the Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA), the first conference was held in Canberra in 1987 and over the last 30 years the conferences have grown in stature and influence

The conference theme for 2021 is ‘Immunisation in the COVID pandemic era’.
